History

Summer 2004 - Mr. Mohawk came to life during an art class in Joe's camp. He was just doodling around and soon Mr. Mohawk came to life. Soon followed was the first 6 Mr. Mohawk comics which can be viewed as the first 6 comics on this site. He drew him from time to time but slowly over the course of the next year and a half he and the comics faded to the bottom of Joe's drawer.

Early-May 2006 - Jeff was searching the web when he came across various comic sites and thought how cool it would be to do something like that. Sadly, he wasn't able to draw but then thought of his friend JOE and told him about the sites and that HE should have one.
Finally, the idea came up that the two of them should work together on Mr. Mohawk Comics. Joe would do the comics, Jeff would make the website. Very shortly following the idea came to a reality.

May 14th 2006 - The first comic went up on MrMohawk.com on Mother's Day, which at the time was Mrmohawk.vze.com. The first week seven comics went up and after that there was a new comic every Sunday and Wednesday.

May 25th 2006 - The domain name Mrmohawk.com was bought and the sight continues to gain more popularity.

Late-May 2006 - The Mr. Mohawk online store was opened and people now were able to buy Mr. Mohawk merchandise. The Mr. Mohawk Appreciation contest began with a scheduled end date of June 2006. This date continuously got pushed back until MrMohawk.com re-opened in September. Many people entered the contest and MrMohawk's fan base continued to grow.

Summer 2006 - As the summer began, Jeff had less time to maintain the website because of many trips and many problems with the scanner and internet. The comics were posted more and more sparingly until they stopped all together.

July 16th 2006 - The final comic (then titled, Home & Careers) that went up on the original MrMohawk.com although more were scheduled to go up. Fans were afraid that this was possibly the end of Mr. Mohawk.

August 2006 - The site announced that Mr. Mohawk was on hiatus and would be returning but a date was still unknown.

September 10th - September 16th 2006 - The site finally was updated. Over the course of the week the site went under a major redesign.

September 17th 2006 - The first comic went up, AGAIN! It was announced that the comics would be divided up into seasons, the first season consisting of the 24 comics that went up on the original Mr. Mohawk. The comics started airing with a new one just about every day.

October 27th 2006 - Mr. Mohawk wins Joe & Jeff's Jr. High School 2007-yearbook cover contest!!

October 29th 2006 - Season 2 begins, an action-packed 79 comics!

March 4th 2007 - Season 3 begins, with the popular Japan Week and the stunning Fight of the Century finale

Early-March 2007 - Mr. Mohawk made a gradual switch over to a new domain, out of freewebs, for a while the site was not fully functional

April 8th 2007 - The first news post was posted on Mr. Mohawk News! The news page run by the publisher, Jeff S.

May 14th 2007 - The one year anniversary of MrMohawk.com!! The timeline is up-to-date but important events will be added.
